Responsibilities
Lead the finance function within a dynamic, commercially focused school environment
Drive strong financial planning, reporting and internal controls
Partner with school leadership to support decision-making and performance
Ensure full compliance with local regulations and Group finance standards
Leading month-end, statutory reporting and the annual external audit process
Preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts aligned to school objectives
Managing cash flow, working capital and financial risk visibility
Overseeing procurement processes and supplier contract management
Ensuring compliance with VAT, Corporate Income Tax and local statutory requirements
Supervising accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes
Partnering with SLT and budget holders to drive commercial performance and operational efficiency
Contributing to Group reporting and financial processes (approximately 25% of the role)
Requirements
A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in accounting or financial leadership
Experience in reporting, budgeting, consolidation and business planning
Strong leadership and people management capability
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream or equivalent)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Experience within education or a service-oriented organisation is advantageous.
