About the role

  • BDM Assistant supporting sales operations for The Backroom Offshoring Inc., focusing on prospecting and administrative support tasks. Handling cold calls and maintaining CRM records for effective lead management.

Responsibilities

  • Research and build targeted prospect lists for accounting firms in NZ, AU, UK, and the US
  • Conduct outbound cold calls to introduce services and start first conversations
  • Ask discovery questions to qualify prospects and gather relevant information
  • Handle basic objections professionally and confidently
  • Book qualified meetings for the Business Development Manager
  • Record detailed call notes, outcomes, and next steps in the CRM
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date CRM records
  • Manage follow-ups to ensure no leads are missed or forgotten
  • Prepare prospect lists, call reports, and outreach summaries
  • Support email follow-ups, calendar coordination, and meeting preparation
  • Assist with internal sales trackers and documentation
  • Use CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot), spreadsheets, dialers, and email tools daily
  • Follow defined sales processes and scripts while keeping conversations natural
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and strong follow-through at all times
  • Report weekly activity metrics (calls made, conversations, meetings booked)

Requirements

  • Strong English communication skills—clear, confident, and professional on calls
  • Conversation-savvy; able to engage prospects naturally and listen actively
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and task execution
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning CRM systems and sales tools
  • Resilient mindset; comfortable with cold calling and rejection
  • Organised and reliable; able to manage tasks independently in an offshore setup
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Any exposure to sales, customer service, call centre work, internships, or campus leadership is an advantage but not required
