About the role
- Junior ESG Project Manager supporting internal and external clients in developing sustainable real estate. Collaborating on various projects for urban transformation and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Support internal and external clients in France and internationally on requirements for urban development, property promotion and asset transformation projects
- Carry out Sustainable Real Estate Owner’s Representative (AMO) assignments in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager
- Produce AMO deliverables: audits, strategies, guides, environmental specification manuals, etc.
- Conduct strategic and technical studies: LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), renewable energy studies, energy renovation, renaturation, commissioning, etc.
- Manage environmental certifications: HQE, BREEAM, BBCA
- Collect and prepare data for ESG verification processes (regulatory compliance, certification audits, green financing)
- Contribute to the ESG transformation of the Real Estate Development business unit across Development, Promotion and Asset Transformation service lines
- Integrate ESG standards into operational projects (Promotion and Asset Transformation)
- Support the Development team in responses to property developer/operator tenders
- Support teams in ESG KPI monitoring, the EU Taxonomy and regulatory obligations
- Lead cross-functional projects (energy, carbon and biodiversity strategies)
- Contribute to the resource center: structuring methodologies, tools and upskilling teams and clients
- Develop operational tools to manage project ESG performance
- Contribute to ESG data management and digitalization to structure and validate ESG data and reporting (data collection campaigns, follow-ups, completion, consistency)
- Maintain regulatory and technical watch
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses such as sector benchmarks, materiality analyses and sustainability reporting reviews
- Assist in preparing and facilitating internal team meetings and client workshops
- Represent ESG externally and have comprehensive knowledge of the ESG service offering to promote and commercialize it to clients
Requirements
- Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5) from an engineering school or specialized master’s in sustainable building, real estate or energy performance
- More than 2 years’ experience in environmental AMO or technical owner’s project management (MOA)
- Strong knowledge of carbon issues, LCA, energy, biodiversity, water, circular economy and reuse as applied to real estate projects in France and Europe
- Good understanding of the real estate value chain and transformation operations
- Advanced knowledge of French and European regulations (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, RE2020…)
- Familiarity with building certification processes HQE and/or BREEAM (accreditation appreciated)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Comfortable working with data (Excel)
- Proficiency with GIS, CAD/drafting tools, SketchUp, AutoCAD
- Autonomy, proactivity, decision-making ability, creativity and strong graphic quality
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- French & English required (Spanish, Portuguese or Italian appreciated)
