Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate Smart Metering projects for utilities, ensuring delivery of high-quality IoT solutions on time and within budget, aligned with clients’ technical and regulatory requirements.
Lead the full lifecycle of Smart Metering projects, from concept and planning through deployment and operation, with a focus on field operations.
Manage schedules, scope, risks, costs and quality, ensuring milestones are met and projects remain within established targets.
Act as the focal point among all stakeholders — internal teams, vendors, system integrators, field technical teams and utility clients (electricity, water or gas).
Conduct follow-up meetings and prepare executive reports, presentations and status reports for directors and stakeholders.
Assess technical requirements, ensuring alignment between IoT architecture, smart meter specifications, telecommunications and management systems (Meters, Connectivity, MDM / HES / CRM / Billing).
Coordinate field tests and pilots, ensuring compliance with safety, interoperability and connectivity standards (Wi‑SUN, NB‑IoT, LTE‑M, LoRaWAN, satellite IoT, etc.).
Manage contracts and SLAs with hardware, software, telecom and installation service providers.
Support IoT device certification processes, approvals and integration with IoT platforms or corporate systems.
Monitor project performance indicators (KPIs), such as read rate, communication success, latency and network reliability.
Manage change and support organizational adaptation in large-scale projects.
Ensure regulatory compliance, alignment with technical standards and IoT cybersecurity best practices.
Requirements
Academic background: Engineering or other technology-related degrees.
Solid experience managing field teams.
Experience building and managing diverse teams.
Clear communication skills and ability to structure information.
Quick, data-driven decision-making.
Systems thinking and ability to work under pressure.
Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
Leadership, empathy and the ability to lead diverse teams.
Experience in agile projects (SCRUM and KANBAN).
Knowledge of change management (discovery, delivery, prioritization, refinement, etc.).
Experience creating business cases, business plans and project schedules.
Experience organizing time and ensuring delivery quality.
Advanced English.
