About the role
- Business Analyst role developing ERP solutions on a federal modernization initiative. Support the Department of Veterans Affairs with financial management system transformations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current business processes and develop requirements.
- Map requirements to Momentum Financials via gap analysis.
- Track and document changes to business requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning).
- Collaborate with other analysts and stakeholders to understand the organization’s business processes.
- Under the guidance of more senior subject matter experts, develop expertise in the COTS tool, Federal financial Management business processes, and ERP implementation best practices.
- Develop test scenarios for the execution of manual functional testing.
- Determine and meet time estimates, and schedules for project execution.
- Participate in client facing meetings to gather, analyze and validate requirements.
- Clearly and professionally communicate with client and management during requirements gathering and throughout project lifecycle.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience.
- Must have the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
- Strong analytical and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
- Self-starter.
- Quick to learn and put new skills to use.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Flexibility to put in hours needed to meet tight deadlines.
