About the role
- Safety and Training Specialist leading safety training and emergency preparedness programs for behavioral health organization. Collaborating on relevant training with Facilities and Training leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Trainer for all safety-related topics
- Assist with developing and leading a robust Safety and Emergency Preparedness Program, including relevant training, in collaboration with Facilities and Training leadership
- Work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Attend multi-day training and conferences as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in health and safety and training, or related field
- Working knowledge of best practice standards for building safety; fire, severe weather and general workplace safety
- CPR First Aid certified, or an ability to obtain certification within ninety (90) days of hire
- Experience and ability to deliver training material in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
- Experience delivering training for adult learners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills; well-developed public speaking skills
- Ability to effectively teach and communicate with a variety of people and organizations
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
- Commitment to treating all staff and learners with dignity, respect, and inclusion
- Strong working knowledge of the principles of trauma informed care
- Experience in presenting digital content such as videos and PowerPoint presentations.
