About the role

  • Safety and Training Specialist leading safety training and emergency preparedness programs for behavioral health organization. Collaborating on relevant training with Facilities and Training leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Trainer for all safety-related topics
  • Assist with developing and leading a robust Safety and Emergency Preparedness Program, including relevant training, in collaboration with Facilities and Training leadership
  • Work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Attend multi-day training and conferences as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in health and safety and training, or related field
  • Working knowledge of best practice standards for building safety; fire, severe weather and general workplace safety
  • CPR First Aid certified, or an ability to obtain certification within ninety (90) days of hire
  • Experience and ability to deliver training material in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
  • Experience delivering training for adult learners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills; well-developed public speaking skills
  • Ability to effectively teach and communicate with a variety of people and organizations
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
  • Commitment to treating all staff and learners with dignity, respect, and inclusion
  • Strong working knowledge of the principles of trauma informed care
  • Experience in presenting digital content such as videos and PowerPoint presentations.
