Responsibilities
Provides leadership and coordination in the development, implementation and administration of staff compensation programs
Leads all processes and procedures related to the compensation program and is responsible for ensuring program compliance
Administers the annual merit process for the College’s staff (administrative and union)
Reviews current market data and internal equity for new and revised positions to determine appropriate classification and salary ranges
Partners with the Talent Management team to formulate offers for new hires and promotions
Oversees the budget and administration of semi-annual promotion cycle and annual equity review
Monitors and analyzes benchmark data and economic projections to ensure the compensation strategy maintains a competitive market position
Develops queries, analyzes, interprets and reports salary and workforce data to meet Human Resources information needs
Collaborates with managers and staff in developing new or revised role documents
Provides education on the total compensation programs through employee trainings, website updates and newsletter updates
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
3 - 5 years related experience in compensation administration
In-depth knowledge of compensation theory, principles, and practices
Deep knowledge of compensation regulations such as FLSA, ADA, Wage and Hour
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and deadlines, and ability to multi-task
Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships and also to work independently
Software skills: Word, Excel, experience with HCM system preferably Workday
