Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and coordination in the development, implementation and administration of staff compensation programs
- Leads all processes and procedures related to the compensation program and is responsible for ensuring program compliance
- Administers the annual merit process for the College’s staff (administrative and union)
- Reviews current market data and internal equity for new and revised positions to determine appropriate classification and salary ranges
- Partners with the Talent Management team to formulate offers for new hires and promotions
- Oversees the budget and administration of semi-annual promotion cycle and annual equity review
- Monitors and analyzes benchmark data and economic projections to ensure the compensation strategy maintains a competitive market position
- Develops queries, analyzes, interprets and reports salary and workforce data to meet Human Resources information needs
- Collaborates with managers and staff in developing new or revised role documents
- Provides education on the total compensation programs through employee trainings, website updates and newsletter updates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
- 3 - 5 years related experience in compensation administration
- In-depth knowledge of compensation theory, principles, and practices
- Deep knowledge of compensation regulations such as FLSA, ADA, Wage and Hour
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and deadlines, and ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and also to work independently
- Software skills: Word, Excel, experience with HCM system preferably Workday
