Responsibilities
Building amazing long-term customer relationships
Creating and executing profitable win-win business propositions
Achieving set sales targets
Overseeing trade channels covering mainly wholesalers and supermarkets in assigned zone
Execution of the annual Operational Plan
Developing the assigned territory and growing the team of Sales Reps through close collaboration and daily coaching
Conducting significant time “on the road”, visiting customers, doing market research and Sales Rep accompaniments, and collaborating with key stakeholders
Leveraging accumulated competencies by participating in cross-functional insight development and commercial planning workshops
Providing regular updates to the Senior Manager - Sales
Identifying growth opportunities within accounts and developing strategies to expand relationships
Handling customer escalations and resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
Staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and best practices to identify risks and opportunities
Performing any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
BSc degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field
At least five (5) years work experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role in FCMG
Intimate knowledge of down trade and supermarket channels
Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
Proven track record of managing and growing Jamaican Trade channels, ideally with a leading food company
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships
Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
