About the role
- Facilities & Utilities Manager responsible for safe, sustainable plant operations at BAT in Monterrey. Overseeing maintenance, compliance, and energy initiatives within the facilities environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and ensure the efficient, safe, and sustainable operation of the plant’s Utilities and Facilities systems
- Guarantee the continuity of critical services, the maintenance of infrastructure, and compliance with the operational requirements of the production process
- Manage the predictive, preventive, and corrective operation and maintenance programs for Utilities and Facilities
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of plant services and infrastructure
- Preserve assets through effective maintenance and operational best practices
- Analyze electricity, gas, and water consumption to develop energy-saving and efficiency initiatives
- Ensure proper measurement, billing, and control of energy resources
- Administer CAPEX and OPEX projects in alignment with financial guidelines and agreed timelines
- Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring performance, quality, and contractual compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental, energy, safety, and infrastructure regulations, as well as internal and external audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience leading Utilities, Facilities, or Maintenance operations in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of energy systems, steam, compressors, HVAC, water systems, and waste treatment
- Experience managing CAPEX and OPEX projects with a solid financial understanding
- Proven ability to manage suppliers, contracts, and audits
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, energy, and regulatory compliance standards
- Ability to lead technical teams and promote a culture focused on safety and high performance
- Analytical skills to interpret energy consumption, performance indicators, and improvement opportunities
