About the role

  • Facilities & Utilities Manager responsible for safe, sustainable plant operations at BAT in Monterrey. Overseeing maintenance, compliance, and energy initiatives within the facilities environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and ensure the efficient, safe, and sustainable operation of the plant’s Utilities and Facilities systems
  • Guarantee the continuity of critical services, the maintenance of infrastructure, and compliance with the operational requirements of the production process
  • Manage the predictive, preventive, and corrective operation and maintenance programs for Utilities and Facilities
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of plant services and infrastructure
  • Preserve assets through effective maintenance and operational best practices
  • Analyze electricity, gas, and water consumption to develop energy-saving and efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure proper measurement, billing, and control of energy resources
  • Administer CAPEX and OPEX projects in alignment with financial guidelines and agreed timelines
  • Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring performance, quality, and contractual compliance
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, energy, safety, and infrastructure regulations, as well as internal and external audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience leading Utilities, Facilities, or Maintenance operations in an industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of energy systems, steam, compressors, HVAC, water systems, and waste treatment
  • Experience managing CAPEX and OPEX projects with a solid financial understanding
  • Proven ability to manage suppliers, contracts, and audits
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, energy, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Ability to lead technical teams and promote a culture focused on safety and high performance
  • Analytical skills to interpret energy consumption, performance indicators, and improvement opportunities
