Leadership role for developing strategies and expanding partnerships in an international exhibition context. Overseeing a team and contributing to the growth of Fruit Logistica, a major global trade fair.
Responsibilities
Develop strategies to acquire new business partners and customers and to further develop existing customer relationships, nationally and internationally
Conceptual development of new segments, the supporting program, and the expansion into new markets/locations
Development and management of innovative concepts for exhibitor and trade visitor outreach (particularly buyers)
Initiation and implementation of strategic partnerships and cooperations
Represent the trade fair in national and international trade media, committees of the fruit trade, and on social media, and manage press relations and marketing in coordination with relevant partners
Disciplinary leadership and further development of a currently 12-person team
Budget planning and control, combined with risk management
Contract management with and oversight of service providers (exhibition grounds, technical services, logistics, ticketing, digital services)
Efficient planning and effective management of project workflows
Sales management of a global network of international representatives working for Fruit Logistica
Active contribution to the strategic development of the international umbrella brand "Fruit Logistica global"
Requirements
University degree with an economic or humanities focus (or qualifications acquired through several years of relevant professional experience)
Many years of relevant professional experience in the trade fair industry or comprehensive knowledge of all areas and facets of trade fair organization
Relevant experience in the international fruit trade is desirable
Fluent written and spoken German and English; additional foreign language skills preferred
