About the role

  • Communication role managing public relations strategies and content creation for trade shows in Berlin. Focused on supporting events and engaging with media representatives for effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support in developing communication strategies, PR concepts and editorial plans for our trade fairs
  • Create content: research and write press releases, blog articles, newsletter contributions, etc.
  • Produce social media content and handle community management
  • Assist in preparing speeches and presentations
  • Contribute to the content planning, organization and execution of press and stakeholder events
  • Support national and international journalists during our trade fairs
  • Respond to press inquiries and coordinate interviews
  • Assist with communication evaluation (media monitoring, etc.)
  • Administrative tasks (e.g. journalist accreditation, website maintenance, distribution of newsletters and press releases, etc.)

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in communication or a related discipline
  • Ability to quickly understand complex topics and tailor content to target audiences
  • Initial demonstrable practical experience in PR or journalism
  • Affinity for online PR and social media
  • Basic skills in journalistic writing
  • Independent working style
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desirable: initial experience in the events industry
  • Excellent command of German, both written and spoken
  • Business-fluent English
