About the role
- Food Specification Analyst responsible for product specifications and quality assurance in the food industry at McCormick. Communicating with stakeholders and managing inspection plans for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, external customers, and other departments daily about various aspects of customer quality
- Complete and review finished products specifications for McCormick brands, Industrial, Quick Service Restaurants, Private Label and Retails customers
- Create and manage raw material, semi-finished, finished products and packaging microbiological, sensory, chemical and physical inspection plans for McCormick manufacturing plants in Canada and USA
- Act as a point of contact in relation to technical / quality assurance related queries for external customers as per account.
Requirements
- Food Technology Diploma or related qualification
- Fluent English is required
- Previous experience in the food industry (e.g. Quality assurance, technical, R&D, customer services)
- Knowledge of quality systems preferable e.g. ISO, BRC, EFSIS
- Advanced level of computer literacy (specifically Excel, SAP, Outlook, Devex, and Lotus Notes desirable)
- Knowledge of Food Safety Quality Systems/Food Certification Standards (Halal/Kosher/Organic) will be an advantage
- Organized, methodical, good attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, with a high sense of urgency
- Willing to work in rotating shifts (morning / afternoon)
