Trainee Management Accountant performing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial operations at Marshalls plc. Focused on accuracy and compliance in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including detailed account analysis and timely submission through Blackline
Supporting month-end close activities by preparing and posting financial journals, assisting with accruals and prepayments, and completing ERP system administrative tasks in line with GAAP requirements
Providing day-to-day support to the PRC team by responding to ad hoc queries via the PRC ticketing system
Work closely with operational stakeholders, contributing to accurate management accounts
Acting as a system administrator for the Blackline reconciliation platform, maintaining system setup, controls, and documentation used across the finance function
Requirements
Actively studying CIMA, Graduate or AAT qualified
Good excel skills: Pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts, and Vlookups
Able to communicate and discuss accounting terminology in a way none finance stakeholders will understand
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines particularly around accounting periods
