About the role

  • Behavioral Health Director managing primary and preventive Mental Health programs in a community health center. Leading initiatives, supervising staff and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain and expand a program of primary and preventive Behavioral/Mental Health care
  • Supervise the Behavioral Health staff of the community health center
  • Provide Behavioral Health advice and counsel to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors
  • Prepare and submit monthly written reports on Behavioral Health Department issues
  • Participate in short and long term program planning for the Behavioral Health Department
  • Prepare grant applications and develop the corporation’s Behavioral Health care plan
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding Behavioral Health care

Requirements

  • Current State of California license in Clinical Psychology required
  • Psy. D or Ph.D in Clinical Psychology
  • 2 years minimum recent clinical experience
  • Experience working in an outpatient community healthcare clinic preferred
  • Must possess excellent organization, writing, and verbal skills
  • English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency preferred
