About the role

  • Analyst supporting operational control framework within the Residential Lending and Retail Products business line. Collaborating to execute control activities and improve compliance and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and documentation of regulatory and operational control procedures within the RESL Lending, Retail Products or Specialized Lending business line.
  • Complete the Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), including data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
  • Complete control testing activities and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure controls are embedded in day-to-day processes and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare summaries and reports on control effectiveness, findings, and remediation efforts for review by management.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure controls remain effective and compliant.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, including gathering evidence and responding to inquiries.
  • Support initiatives to strengthen first line risk management capabilities and promote operational resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in operational controls, risk management, audit, or a related analytical role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with risk management tools is an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
