Responsibilities
Will work on the development and improvement of products, ensuring technical specifications, quality and compliance with internal and external standards
Will be involved from concept through series production, maintaining constant interaction with suppliers, customers, internal departments and international units
Will provide technical support to other stakeholders and contribute to innovation, cost reduction and continuous improvement
Develop and improve products, components and accessories with occasional supervision, performing calculations, specifications and technical validations
Define product structures, raw materials and technical specifications based on requirements and specific expertise
Review technical specifications received from customers and actively engage with them to ensure compliance and improvement
Lead, with occasional supervision, technical discussions with suppliers to ensure component specifications are met
Oversee the creation of technical drawings for components and systems at prototype and series-production levels
Monitor tooling design and the manufacture of prototype components, ensuring quality and delivery timelines
Provide technical support to customers, headquarters, plants, affiliates and internal departments
Conduct, with occasional supervision, failure analyses related to products in development, in series production, or field failures
Prepare engineering demand estimates for development projects of new or modified products
Define validation plans with occasional supervision and monitor tests and numerical simulations for new products; follow prototype manufacturing
Lead, with occasional supervision, the creation and review of project technical documentation such as DFMEA, Critical Characteristics Analysis, GD&T and Tolerances
Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) stages and ensure regulatory compliance
Seek technological innovations, new suppliers, materials and alternatives for standardization and cost reduction
Monitor and support studies for design/process updates and improvements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production Engineering or related fields
Active CREA registration (or equivalent professional engineering registration)
Proven experience in product development within the automotive parts sector
Knowledge of plastic injection products, thermoplastic materials and sealing solutions
Desirable knowledge of air management systems, fluid systems and filtration
Advanced English, with the ability to lead meetings and technical interactions with customers
Proven knowledge of automotive quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D)
Experience with CAD/CAE software
Availability to work in a hybrid model (3x2) in Jundiaí, SP
