About the role
- Manager, Financial Control overseeing divisional financial control and reporting for LSEG FX. Collaborating across teams and entities to ensure financial accuracy and compliance responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate month end timetables and the period close process
- Prepare journal entries, carefully checking support and allocations
- Perform month end analytical review procedures to gain comfort over the FX legal entity balance sheets and income statements before period close
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline
- Ensure accounts are reconciled in a timely manner and appropriately substantiated
- Work closely with the Division’s Financial Controller to improve divisional reporting and controls
- Prepare quarterly board materials and monthly management accounts for the nominated international FX Regulated Entities
- Provide financial insights and commentary to support business decision-making and performance reviews
- Manage the relationship with the external auditors and prepare audit materials as requested by auditors
- Ensure robust financial controls are embedded across all processes
- Support the implementation and monitoring of internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX or equivalent)
- Financial regulatory responsibilities could include the performance or review of business risk modelling in Excel
- Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization across offshore finance operations
- Lead or support finance transformation initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) with a minimum of 5 years PQE
- Strong people and stakeholder management track record
- Extensive experience in legal entity, divisional or business unit financial control
- Tenacious
- Ability to identify, chase down issues and follow through to conclusion
- Technical accounting, particularly UK GAAP and IFRS
- Strong excel modelling and control skills
