Responsibilities
Perform operational forecasting, including maintaining the model inputs
Investigate and report on variances between forecast and out-turns
Ensure continuous improvements of the forecasting tools and processes, based on troubleshooting, lessons learned, energy market development, and policy changes
Provide general modelling and analysis as required
Review and collate industry wide data sources and policy development news
Assist with reporting and interpreting KPIs and other performance metrics
Requirements
A 2:1 degree (or expected for those in their penultimate year) or higher degree in a highly numerate subject is essential. Examples include (but are not limited to): Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research and other quantitative STEM subjects.
Proficiency in programming languages for data analysis such as Python or R.
Highly analytical and strong critical thinker
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in person and through written output
Experience with data visualisation tools (such as Power BI)
Interest and/or proven exposure in the Electricity sector
