Safety Management Analyst executing activities to comply with maritime safety regulations for Log-In fleet. Conducting audits, creating reports, and supporting safety training onboard ships.
Responsibilities
Execute activities of the Safety Management System on Log-In vessels, supporting compliance with operational procedures, training and controls in line with the requirements of the ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS Code, MLC, STCW, NORMAMs and NR regulations.
Conduct ISM, ISPS and MLC internal audits on fleet vessels with a good degree of autonomy, ensuring proper recording of evidence.
Monitor corrective action plans for non-conformities and observations identified in internal and external audits, tracking deadlines, updating status and following up with responsible parties when necessary.
Support preparation for and participation in external Class audits on fleet vessels, ensuring documentation and records are up to date and available.
Prepare, together with the team, vessels for PSC/FSC inspections (Port State Control / Flag State Control), checking documentation, certificate expiry dates and evidence of compliance with requirements.
Control, analyze and follow up on non-conformities of LOG-IN vessels, proposing corrective and preventive actions in alignment with responsible areas.
Monitor onboard training, overseeing execution of the safety training plan and ensuring records are kept up to date.
Maintain control of each vessel’s certificates through planning and periodic verification, ensuring validity of class and statutory certificates.
Support analysis, investigation and control of accidents and incidents related to navigational safety on LOG-IN vessels, contributing information, cause recording and recommendations.
Create and maintain dashboards and management reports using Power BI and other tools, ensuring reliability, timeliness and integrity of information.
Identify trends, patterns and improvement opportunities from safety data analysis, suggesting adjustments to procedures and operational practices.
Support the organization and follow-up of vessel documents and processes before the Maritime Court, Captaincies and DPC, ensuring compliance with deadlines and formal requirements.
