About the role
- Data Analyst ensuring compliance with Brazilian federal tax legislation and managing tax obligations. Involved in planning and execution of tax compliance and updates to legislation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure calculation of federal taxes (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, withholdings, foreign exchange), maintain compliance with current legislation, validate and review ancillary obligations, ensure correct tax and accounting recordkeeping, mitigate risks and support tax planning strategies. Knowledge of and monitoring of tax changes, including the ongoing Tax Reform.
- Tax compliance: calculation, review, payment/compensation, accounting entries and tax records, credit control, calculation of tax incentives, interest on equity (JCP), response to tax audits/proceedings, and support for external audits/consultancies.
- Ancillary obligations: preparation/review of various relevant ancillary filings, ensuring supporting documentation and controls.
- Legislation, consultations and updates: monitoring changes in legislation and rulings, identifying tax opportunities, and preparing projections and tax studies.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Law.
- Experience with federal taxes.
- Deep knowledge of IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS and tax incentives.
- Experience with international remittances is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, organization, critical thinking, and attention to detail and deadlines.
- Experience managing teams is a plus.
