About the role
- IT Lead managing Business IT and improving IT service delivery at Lingoda in a hybrid environment. Leading IT team and overseeing projects aligning with company OKRs.
Responsibilities
- Manage our Business IT Service - including Saas Vendors, printing, laptops, IT support, office Wifi, Starters, Leavers, Backups, Office Room Booking, Office Key system and offline meeting room technology
- Provide direct line management to the IT Team, including hiring, training, performance review, and professional development.
- Where required, be hands-on in resolving IT tickets to ensure SLAs are met.
- Create and manage quarterly goals aligned with company OKRs for the IT Team area.
- Manage and oversee IT Projects (e.g. Improvement projects, software migration, security improvements, backup improvements etc.)
- Manage IT contracts and software procurement, ensuring that good value contracts/prices are agreed, contracts are renewed, and our spend forecast is kept up to date.
- Manage software user licences efficiently and proactively, ensuring that we get the best value from our suppliers.
- Ensure security controls and reliability controls meet business, customer and industry best practices.
- Stay current of the latest trends in IT and leverage new technologies to increase efficiency and innovation.
- Foster a positive environment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Form strong relationships with stakeholders and the wider engineering team to ensure alignment and that the IT Team is exceeding expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in managing IT systems , Office IT, Cloud Software/SaaS, Google Workspaces or AD.
- Experienced team manager of managing teams up to 3-5 people
- Experience managing IT vendor contracts, licence management, and supplier negotiations.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices, and internal IT support.
- Strong in balancing business requirements and technical process to achieve success
- Strong leadership, decision-making, eye for detail and team management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
