Responsibilities
The Buyer / Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, supplies, and services.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
Work with warehouse, operations, and production teams to forecast needs.
Track shipments and manage logistics when required.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities and negotiate favourable terms.
Monitor market trends and changes in product availability or pricing.
Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
Review requisitions and issue accurate purchase orders.
Source materials and services that meet required specifications.
Request and evaluate quotes, comparing cost, quality, and lead times.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Assist with supplier onboarding and contract reviews.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline
3–5 years experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, with exposure to supplier negotiation and ERP systems (SAP)?
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable pricing and terms.
High level organizational and communication skill
Experience dealing with a broad range of SKU
Strong customer focus and have track record of efficiently managing inventory requirements
Good understanding of supply chain processes, inventory levels, lead times, and logistics.
