About the role
- SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect responsible for Sourcing and Procurement architecture at Liebherr. Collaborating with global teams to drive procurement standardization and efficiency in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Sourcing and Procurement solution architecture within the global S/4HANA template for Sales and Service companies, ensuring consistency, scalability and compliance.
- Design and govern global template solutions across core Sourcing and Procurement areas such as: Strategic sourcing and RFx, Operational procurement (PR, PO, contracts), Supplier management, Invoice verification (in integration with Finance), Service procurement, and Procurement analytics and reporting.
- Translate complex business and statutory requirements from multiple countries and divisions into harmonized, standard SAP solutions minimizing custom development, driving process harmonization and simplification.
- Lead and facilitate global design workshops with Procurement stakeholders and local entities.
- Design and govern the integration of S/4HANA Procurement with Finance (AP, asset procurement, tax), Inventory and logistics processes, Manufacturing and remanufacturing scenarios, Service and spare parts processes, and Supplier collaboration and external platforms where relevant.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing expert guidance across all project phases: Design, realization, testing, cutover, go-live and post go-live stabilization.
- Contribute to change management activities, ensuring adoption of new processes and S/4HANA solutions.
- Support the creation of solution documentation leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Collaborate closely with an international, cross-functional team to deliver high quality, scalable solutions that support our global growth.
- Travel (up to 30%) to Liebherr sites worldwide to engage directly with business teams and support deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of SAP experience in Sourcing and Procurement, including significant exposure to SAP S/4HANA Procurement.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead consultant in international SAP programs or template-based rollouts.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes in Sales and Service-oriented businesses, ideally in industrial or equipment related industries.
- Deep expertise in S/4HANA Procurement capabilities, including Purchasing and contract management, Supplier lifecycle processes, Release strategies and approvals, Service procurement and Integration with Finance and logistics.
- Experience designing global templates across multiple countries and legal entities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business challenges and translate them into SAP solutions that drive efficiency and value.
- Familiar with JIRA and Confluence (or similar tools) for task management and team collaboration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German) are an advantage.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%) as required by project work.
- SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement certification is a strong plus.
