About the role

  • Senior Product Manager for remanufactured drive components at Liebherr-Ettlingen GmbH. Managing product portfolio and developing sustainable marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Product / Portfolio Management
  • Management of the remanufactured (Reman) product portfolio for reconditioned drive components (e.g., diesel and gas engines, hydraulic components, gearboxes, and winches)
  • Planning and implementation of variant management, lifecycle strategies, and product releases
  • Development of sustainable product and marketing strategies, taking into account the environmental benefits of Reman (resource conservation, CO₂ reduction)
  • Preparation and refinement of the value proposition (USP) for Reman components, especially in comparison to new parts
  • Market and competitive analysis
  • Analysis of market potential in the after-sales/service business for Reman components in construction machinery and cranes
  • Monitoring trends related to the circular economy, sustainability, total cost of ownership (TCO), and service life of components
  • Identification of strategic opportunities, e.g., expansion of the Reman network or new customer groups (e.g., service partners)
  • Preparation of profitability analyses, business cases, and ROI calculations for Reman component projects
  • KPI tracking (e.g., revenue, margins, component returns, warranty costs)
  • Regular reporting to management and stakeholders on portfolio development and market performance
  • Providing expert advice to senior management on product strategy, market responses, and investment decisions

Requirements

  • Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of relevant experience in product management, technical after-sales, or a service environment, ideally related to components or construction machinery
  • Technical expertise, particularly in drive technologies, is essential
  • Understanding of and interest in sustainability, circular economy, and energy-efficient use of resources
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
