Senior Project Manager in Leonardo's Mission Support area delivering software projects for armed forces across various platforms. Ensure project governance, manage risk, and support teams for operational success.
Responsibilities
Deliver Complex Software Projects - Lead delivery of software development and in‑service support projects to time, cost and quality.
Apply strong governance and lifecycle management across all phases.
Manage complex dependencies, risks, and interfaces across a multi‑project environment.
Shape Project Strategy & Planning - Produce realistic project schedules and resource plans.
Develop and maintain cost forecasts, EACs and project baselines.
Support inputs into the Integrated Business Plan (IBP).
Lead IPT Execution - Coordinate multidisciplinary IPTs including engineering, commercial, procurement and capability.
Foster a collaborative one‑team culture focused on performance and delivery.
Provide coaching and support to Project Managers and Assistant PMs.
Support bids, proposals and customer negotiations.
Ensure accurate, timely reporting to senior leadership.
Requirements
Proven experience delivering complex projects, ideally in software, systems or mission‑critical domains.
Strong grasp of project governance, risk, planning and financial control.
Experience working within IPTs or similar multidisciplinary environments.
Ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive, resilient and organised approach to project delivery.
Experience coaching or mentoring project team members.
