About the role

  • Creation and monitoring of various budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Analysis of variances between targets and actuals and derivation of appropriate measures.
  • Continuous development and maintenance of meaningful management reporting as well as cost center and cost unit accounting.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for executive management and department heads.
  • Costing of offers and projects within the business areas.
  • Preparation and conduct of fee negotiations with service providers/payers.
  • Participation in developing and implementing strategic corporate objectives, taking into account profitability analyses and investment calculations.
  • Financial oversight of key projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Financial Management, or a commercial apprenticeship with relevant further training.
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in the social or non-profit sector.
  • Solid knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and grant/funding management.
  • Confident handling of controlling tools and ERP systems (e.g., Vivendi, DATEV).
  • Very good Excel skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with high personal responsibility, structured working style, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex issues clearly.
  • Desirable experience working with cost and service carriers/payors (KiBiZ, Employment Agency, LVR, among others) and in the reimbursement/refinancing of services.
  • Knowledge of non-profit law and social legislation (SGB VIII, IX, XII).
  • Sensitivity to the specifics of social organizations and interest in social impact measurement and sustainability controlling.
