About the role
- Controller leading the accounting operations ensuring accurate financial reporting in a hybrid model. Overseeing closes, revenue recognition, internal controls, and mentoring the team in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee SaaS revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including subscriptions, usage-based revenue, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations
- Oversee chart of accounts, revenue recognition modules, workflows, and integrations (e.g., Salesforce, billing platforms)
- Lead NetSuite enhancements, automation initiatives, and system optimizations to support growth and scalability
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Establish clear policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare and review internal and external financial reporting packages
