About the role
- Pädagogische Fachkraft supporting children in a therapeutic residential group to provide a loving family-like atmosphere. Working with a multi-professional team to foster new perspectives and strategies.
Responsibilities
- provide long-term, caring support to children and adolescents who cannot live with their families, in a family-like atmosphere
- develop new perspectives together with the children and adolescents
- strengthen resources and enable new behavioral strategies
- share celebrations, work in our workshop, be active in our movement room, and participate in our experiential learning outings
Requirements
- completed vocational training as an educator (Erzieher) or as a curative education nurse (Heilerziehungspfleger) with state recognition, or a completed degree in social work/social pedagogy/special education with state recognition, or an equivalent qualification
- Class B driver’s license
- open, warm and humorous, with a genuine desire to live a family daily routine with the children full of fun and joy
- able to quickly establish a good rapport with children, even when they are initially withdrawn or reserved
- able to keep a cool head even when children are challenging
- value good teamwork (e.g., work schedules are decided together)
