About the role

  • Service Engineer at JULABO installing and maintaining temperature control instruments for various industries. Responsible for client support and technical assistance in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of units at clients’ sites
  • Training of operators and supporting them with applications, setup, and automation/computer control on site
  • Preventative maintenance, calibration, and service
  • Advising customers on technical issues and fault diagnosis
  • Modification and upgrades of JULABO equipment
  • Compiling method statements and risk assessments
  • Ensuring demo units are in working order
  • Assisting with loading and unloading
  • Following up leads from sales teams regarding support service and repairs
  • Identifying potential leads at site and briefing the appropriate sales team member

Requirements

  • Qualification and experience in maintenance, support, and installation of sophisticated electro-mechanical systems
  • Background in temperature control, heat transfer, and refrigeration
  • Ability to learn
  • Great communication skills
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
  • Office IT systems, including Word, email, etc.
  • Willingness to travel/overnight stays
