Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts for the Group, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
Conduct monthly reviews with stakeholders and challenge the numbers to understand key trends and identify/deliver cost efficiencies.
Support the business with all financial reporting requirements, financial analysis and commercial models for new products and projects.
Assist with development and production of cost accounting methodology to support product/sector reporting as appropriate.
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Ensure month end operations support a robust financial control environment.
Actively engage with the wider business to support Group strategy and growth.
Ensure margin is consistent with business activities and proactively investigate any changes against budget impacting growth or strategy.
Provide all necessary documentation and reporting to ensure successful year-end audit.
Produce high-quality presentations to the business, enhance/reinforce intended messages re current financial position, and ensure understanding.
Requirements
Accountancy qualification eg CIMA, ACA, ACCA, part qualification considered
Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial and business information to different stakeholders.
Experience of working within a business-facing finance function, including defining and then meeting reporting needs, business case development and budgeting.
A good working knowledge of Excel and Word is required. In particular, needs to understand how to use pivot tables, functions, look ups and filtering.
