Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating and executing the accounting workstreams related to month end close processes ensuring accurate revenue recognition compliant with GAAP.
Report to the Senior Director of Revenue Recognition and involve collaboration with other departments.
Perform month end, quarter-end and year-end close procedures for revenue accounts.
Liaison between other departments including but not limited to Legal, HPR, and AMSURG Central Billing Office (CBO).
Perform monthly revenue related analysis and assist with accounts receivable review and research.
Complete reconciliations to ensure accuracy of monthly revenue accruals.
Monitor central billing office access to accounting applications.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university is required.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, and at least 1 year of accounting revenue recognition experience.
CPA eligibility is required, with the expectation that the certification will be obtained within 2 years of the start date.
Experience applying the provisions of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced knowledge and ability to use window office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
Ability to understand insurance payer contracts and determine the accounting treatment and financial impact.
Smartsheet & IBM Planning & Analytics experience is a plus but not required.
Oracle or Oracle Fusion experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English.
