Sales Manager driving growth in Europe for Johnson Electric's Powder Metal Business Unit. Focus on building customer relationships while managing the development of high-precision powder metal components in Germany.
Responsibilities
Proactively drive new business and new customer development in the European market for the Powder Metal Business Unit.
Manage negotiations, working directly with key decision-makers at OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, with an emphasis on building lasting partnerships.
Lead cross-functional teams through RFQ, quotation and project launch phases to meet customer and business requirements.
Act as a key interface between customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on expectations, timelines and deliverables.
Proactively manage risks, issues and escalations to support sustainable customer relationships.
Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, quality and timeline commitments.
Follow agreed workflows and utilize relevant project management and reporting tools.
Ensure adherence to quality, process and brand standards, including support of customer audits and quality-related topics.
Stay informed on industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to spot and capitalize on new opportunities.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of business development experience in an automotive Tier 1 supplier, preferably with OEM customer exposure and driveline knowledge.
Experience in powder metal components is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
Fluency in English is essential and fluency in German would be highly preferred.
Strong skills in marketing, business development, project management, negotiation, time management and prioritization.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and client-focused approach.
Team player with a can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to frequent travel (~50%): to customers in Europe (mainly in Germany) and occasional travelling to overseas, ~1-2 times a year.
