About the role

  • National Sales Manager leading the rental sales strategy for air compressors at Ingersoll Rand. Focused on revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy for compressor rentals aligned with business objectives
  • Set clear targets and KPIs for regional teams to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and growth goals
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the rental sales team to deliver exceptional performance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry stakeholders
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and tailored solutions
  • Oversee major accounts and strategic negotiations to secure long-term partnerships
  • Review and approve proposals, quotations, and pricing strategies to maintain profitability
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and ethical practices

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of sales experience
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within industrial equipment rentals (preferably air compressors)
  • Strong technical understanding of compressor systems and rental operations
  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Preferred)
