Technical Sales Engineer functioning as a technical interface for the Austrian market in smart metering solutions. Collaborating with internal teams for market-end solutions, managing projects and implementation.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you act as the technical interface between the (Austrian) market and the internal L+G organization
You have expert-level knowledge of our product/solution portfolio (devices and meters, as well as software and systems) with a focus on Smart Metering and Smart Grid
You are familiar with the legal requirements of the Austrian market and understand the customers' technical requirements
Together with other experts within the L+G organization — for example EMEA Product Management and Solution Consultants — you design the appropriate end-to-end solution for the market and customers
You identify any missing functions in the product/solution portfolio and coordinate their technical implementation and timelines with Product Management
Support the sales team in the technical evaluation of customer proposals for tenders and offers (focus on the meter portfolio)
Independently implement pilot projects/test deployments (end-to-end implementation and support)
You attend customer meetings/events/trade shows and present the product/solution portfolio (technical)
You serve as the interface to the national approval authority (BEV) and are responsible for the national approval of electricity meters
Requirements
Completed technical training or degree in Industrial Engineering, Technical Sales, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field, with several years of professional experience
Passion for tackling new challenges and designing solutions
Interest in consultative selling and sales skills for solution-oriented selling
Experience in the utility sector, with an understanding of customer needs and processes
Excellent communication skills in German and English
