About the role

  • Enhancing commercial activity as a Commercial Engineer for CMA CGM in Lyon. Managing key client relations and achieving sales targets within the maritime logistics sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-potential client portfolio
  • Achieve the Group's commercial objectives
  • Acquire, develop, retain and manage customer business volumes
  • Sell the full range of CMA CGM Group products and services
  • Organize field visits and prospect for new clients
  • Promote and sell maritime and non-maritime products and services
  • Record customer information in the CRM tool and ensure it is kept up to date
  • Plan commercial activities in line with the budgeted objectives
  • Handle quotation requests and follow up on customer collections/payments
  • Comply with current Quality, Security and Safety procedures

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (Master 2) in International Trade or Transport & Logistics
  • Minimum 2 years’ sales experience, ideally in the maritime sector
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good listening skills
  • Autonomy, responsiveness and proactivity
  • Rigour, strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team
  • Proficient with IT and office software
  • English is a definite asset
  • Good knowledge of the Lyon local market and an understanding of maritime transport issues is a plus
