About the role

  • Database Administrator consulting clients on database systems and handling complex projects. Designing and implementing solutions on-premises and in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • You support and advise our clients on the optimal use of database systems.
  • You carry out demanding database projects, such as performance analyses, SQL and database tuning, and migrations.
  • You design and implement database systems on both on-premises platforms and in the cloud, using GitOps methods and tools.
  • In our managed service you (pro-)actively monitor system operations and professionally resolve incidents.
  • You also take independent responsibility for the further development and administration of our clients' databases.

Requirements

  • You have a completed university degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences) or a comparable IT qualification.
  • You have solid knowledge of at least one of the database systems Db2, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Exasol.
  • You are proficient in the query language SQL and have good knowledge of operating systems.
  • Ideally, you have initial experience with cloud environments as well as GitOps methods and tools, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • You demonstrate a high level of responsibility and a structured way of working, and you also excel at working independently.
