About the role

  • Senior Sales Manager responsible for acquiring and managing clients in the process industry. Driving sales growth through technical product solutions and strategic collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Sales Manager, you are responsible for acquiring, managing and expanding customer relationships in a technical and demanding market.
  • You play a central role in sales and contribute significantly to the company’s revenue growth.
  • New customer acquisition: Identification and approach of potential B2B customers, especially in the process and plant engineering industries.
  • Sales of technical products/solutions: You understand customers’ technical requirements and offer tailored solutions from our portfolio.
  • Sales strategy and market analysis: Development and implementation of sales strategies, market analyses and competitor monitoring to identify growth potential.
  • Contract negotiations: You independently conduct complex contract negotiations at decision-maker level and convince through your negotiation skills and technical expertise.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Close cooperation with the engineering and marketing departments to implement customer requirements precisely.
  • Target-oriented revenue responsibility: Responsible for achieving sales targets and revenue results, and reporting to sales management.
  • Trade shows and events: Participation in relevant trade fairs, conferences and events to represent the company and its products and to generate new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Work experience: At least 5 years of experience in selling technical products and solutions in the software industry, preferably in the process industry and/or plant engineering.
  • Technical education: Degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable technical qualification.
  • Sales experience: Solid experience in acquiring and managing customers in a technical environment, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Communication skills: You have the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and to capture complex customer needs and translate them into solutions.
  • Negotiation skills: You possess excellent negotiation skills and are able to establish long-term partnerships as well as close short-term deals.
  • Result orientation: You are a goal-driven and self-motivated sales professional capable of independently achieving sales and growth targets.
  • Willingness to travel: Willingness to travel regularly for customer appointments and trade fairs.
  • Language skills: Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
