About the role

Responsibilities
- Advise managers, employees and other persons responsible for occupational safety and accident prevention
- Conduct safety inspections of plant installations, work procedures and technical equipment
- Monitor implementation of occupational safety and accident prevention measures, including related inspections/audits; report deficiencies and propose corrective and preventive actions
- Investigate and analyze the root causes of accidents
- Drive improvements in HSE processes to promote a strong safety culture across the company
- Serve as HSE Management System Representative (DIN EN ISO 45001, DIN EN ISO 14001) and perform the associated duties
- Monitor changes to laws, regulations and standards by maintaining the HSE legal register
Requirements
- Degree in industrial/operational safety management, safety engineering, environmental engineering or a related field
- Completed training as a Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
- Auditor qualification desirable
- Willingness to undertake occasional business travel
- Languages: German – business fluent; English – basic knowledge
