About the role

  • ES&H Manager supporting operations at DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory. Managing and implementing ES&H programs while mentoring specialists and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support operations at the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory.
  • Manage, develop and implement ES&H programs.
  • Mentor, coach and supervise ES&H Specialists.
  • Monitor and prevent chemical, biological, physical hazards and diseases.
  • Review and incorporate health standards published by regulatory authorities.
  • Develop or review all necessary reports for the DOE customer.
  • Direct audits of health and safety programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Certification in CIH, CSP, or CHP should be pursued or completed.
  • Master’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in DOE National Laboratory environment highly preferred.
