About the role
- Senior Developer designing, developing, and maintaining core banking applications for critical business operations. Engaging in full software development lifecycle within hybrid working model in Greece.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core banking applications
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to production support
- Implement enhancements and new features for mission-critical banking systems
- Develop integrations between internal and external services
- Perform testing, validation, and data integrity checks
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and defects
- Produce technical documentation for architecture, functionality, and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams
- Ensure high standards of performance, security, and scalability
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and system quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of software development experience in core banking or enterprise systems
- Strong knowledge of banking operations and financial systems
- Proficiency in COBOL, C, or Python
- Experience with enterprise core banking platforms (AS/400 or z/OS)
- Solid understanding of system integrations and data flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with structured SDLC processes
- Fluency in English
