About the role
- CAD Engineering Technician creating detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models for manufacturing processes at Mohawk. Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure design accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining accurate mechanical drawings and 3D models using CAD software to support engineering, fabrication, and production processes.
- Develop and revise detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Translate field measurements into accurate technical drawings.
- Export and prepare files for CNC programming in Mastercam.
- Perform on-site measurements using precision tools.
- Maintain drawing documentation and revision control.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of CAD drafting or mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (required).
- Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software preferred.
- Experience taking field measurements and using precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
