About the role
- External consultant handling regulatory obligations and initiatives in the banking sector, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and conducting regulatory analyses.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess regulatory changes and updates issued by the Hellenic Bank Association and other regulatory bodies
- Inform and coordinate internal units regarding new regulatory requirements and consultations
- Participate in interbank working groups and HBA meetings
- Prepare well-documented responses to supervisory authorities
- Conduct legal and regulatory impact analyses
- Draft memos, reports, and recommendations
- Maintain and update the ERB–HBA Internal Governance Model
- Participate in regulatory projects, highlighting delays, issues, or risks that require escalation or resolution
- Analyse regulatory requirements and map the affected business areas
- Identify ownership of the regulatory framework within the respective business units
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience within an established banking organisation
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Good knowledge of the regulatory framework within the banking sector
- Ability to navigate legal and regulatory sources and identify relevant supporting documentation
- Strong stakeholder coordination skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Good command of the English language
