About the role

  • Business Analyst supporting the implementation of research administration software suite at Beth Israel Lahey Health. Collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams for effective solutions and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with key stakeholders across BILH hospital sites to understand current workflows and future-state requirements
  • Document and analyze existing processes from disparate legacy systems
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and consolidation as BILH transitions to a single system
  • Collaborate with technical teams and vendor consultants to configure the research administration suite to meet institutional requirements across the BILH network
  • Participate in system design sessions to ensure workflows align with academic medical center operations and regulatory requirements
  • Review and validate system configurations, integrations with existing systems (ERP, HR, finance, e.g. Workday, Epic, iLabs, etc.), and data migration strategies from multiple legacy platforms
  • Support development of custom reports, dashboards, and analytics capabilities
  • Map and document current and future-state business processes
  • Ensure processes support compliance with federal regulations (NIH, NSF, FDA, OMB Uniform Guidance, etc.) and institutional policies
  • Recommend process improvements that leverage system capabilities while maintaining regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years of business analysis experience
  • Experience with enterprise software implementations or large-scale system projects
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools and MS Office suite
