About the role

  • Digital Content Intern supporting Innocence Project's digital team in creating and managing content. Focused on social media and digital engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the digital team within the communications department.
  • Assist in developing and creating digital and editorial content, social strategies.
  • Help manage daily management of social channels.
  • Identify impactful opportunities to connect with various audiences.
  • Report to the Digital Engagement Specialist.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to pitch and draft content on wrongful conviction stories.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in English, communications, journalism, media relations, policy, political science or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and proofreading.
  • Basic competency in Google Suite and AP style.
  • Experience managing social media, writing copy, and community management is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
