About the role

  • IT Service Engineer supporting aviation software solutions by assisting clients with integration and maintenance. Collaborating with teams for software updates and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

  • You are the primary point of contact for our customers and support them in successfully integrating our Industry 4.0 software solutions into their processes and using them productively on a daily basis.
  • Together with your team, you manage a dedicated customer base and provide advisory support for technical or functional questions regarding the mission-critical software infrastructure.
  • You coordinate and perform complex software updates, analyze potential disruptions in customer systems and ensure their resolution — via remote maintenance and in close collaboration with our development team.
  • Through your efforts, you ensure that our solutions remain successful and stable in the long term and optimally support the operations of our customers in the aviation industry.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or a degree in (business) computer science, mathematics or a comparable field.
  • Confident handling of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Initial exposure to and/or experience with container-orchestrated environments in the cloud (e.g., Kubernetes, Grafana, etc.).
  • Customer-oriented working style, strong communication skills and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, and good German skills at least at B2 level.
  • Initial practical experience, for example as an IT support specialist, in IT customer support or as a software support engineer, as well as familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL processes.
  • Knowledge of programming with BATCH/PowerShell/Perl/Python as well as experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases (SQL) and cloud solutions.
  • Initial experience with remote maintenance connections and virtual machines
