Field Service Technician responsible for delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining Hach devices. Requires travel and work in various municipal and industrial settings around Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc.
Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2).
50-75% travel within a 2-hour radius from Sacramento, CA. You can expect to have up to on average 1-3 nights away each week with company-paid accommodations and meals.
Requirements
HS Diploma required; Associates/Technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair
2 or more years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
You have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.
Travel Requirements: This position requires daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius of the home office.
