About the role
- Java Developer responsible for implementing software projects in insurance. Involvement in the complete development cycle with a focus on modern IT architectures.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for implementing mid- and long-term software projects in the backend context (Java, JEE, Spring, etc.)
- Participation in the entire development cycle: requirements analysis, concept, design, development, implementation and quality assurance
- Development of custom insurance software solutions (digital platforms, virtual insurance products, member portals, benefits/apps, broker portals, etc.)
- Involvement in the technology transformation of well-known insurers across diverse projects
- Contributing expertise to special projects and prototype development to drive exciting new solutions
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Passion for software development, new ideas and technologies
- Extensive hands-on experience in developing multi-layer IT architectures
- Strong experience with Java, JEE or Spring
- Knowledge of Cloud (AWS, Azure), Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage
- Very good German language skills and enjoyment of working with agile methods
