Responsibilities
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
- Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
- Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
- Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
Requirements
- Years of previous experience as a technician
- Experience with electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
- Ability to perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches

- Ability to determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
- Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential
