About the role

  • HSE Manager providing advisory support on health and environmental protection in production company. Conducting safety audits, training, and collaborating with local authorities for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise executive management and supervisors on all matters of occupational health and safety and environmental protection, including risk assessments and accident prevention
  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections of plant facilities, technical equipment and work processes — especially prior to commissioning or implementation
  • Perform regular walkthroughs and audits to monitor safety and environmental standards, identify risks and derive improvement and prevention measures
  • Investigate workplace accidents and near-misses, analyze root causes and derive preventive actions
  • Provide regular training for employees on occupational safety, environmental protection and prevention measures — actively contributing to awareness and strengthening the company’s safety culture
  • Promote and foster a strong safety culture within the company
  • Ensure and further develop management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Work closely with authorities, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards

Requirements

  • Completed advanced training as a specialist in occupational safety (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in occupational safety, environmental management or HSE, preferably in a manufacturing company
  • Solid knowledge of relevant laws, standards and regulations (ArbSchG, BetrSichV, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Experience conducting audits, trainings and risk assessments
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness and the ability to engage employees and managers on HSE topics
  • Good English skills and confident use of MS Office
