Responsibilities
Advise executive management and supervisors on all matters of occupational health and safety and environmental protection, including risk assessments and accident prevention
Conduct safety and environmental inspections of plant facilities, technical equipment and work processes — especially prior to commissioning or implementation
Perform regular walkthroughs and audits to monitor safety and environmental standards, identify risks and derive improvement and prevention measures
Investigate workplace accidents and near-misses, analyze root causes and derive preventive actions
Provide regular training for employees on occupational safety, environmental protection and prevention measures — actively contributing to awareness and strengthening the company’s safety culture
Promote and foster a strong safety culture within the company
Ensure and further develop management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Work closely with authorities, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards
Requirements
Completed advanced training as a specialist in occupational safety (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) or equivalent qualification
Several years of professional experience in occupational safety, environmental management or HSE, preferably in a manufacturing company
Solid knowledge of relevant laws, standards and regulations (ArbSchG, BetrSichV, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Experience conducting audits, trainings and risk assessments
Strong communication skills, assertiveness and the ability to engage employees and managers on HSE topics
Good English skills and confident use of MS Office
