Product Specialist - Golf responsible for marketing initiatives of golf irrigation products in a collaborative environment. Implementing product launch support and market research for Hunter Industries.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with the Product Management Team to increase field adoption of Marketing activities and product sales while demonstrating behavior that is consistent with the company’s values of customer satisfaction, innovation, family, and social responsibility.
Supports the Hunter Support Network by managing customer account data and directly communicating with end users to troubleshoot and resolve software support inquiries.
Contributes to and supports successful marketing plans and materials for product launches, events, sales & technical support, including the execution of all deliverables, and success measurements.
Collaborates cross-functionally on the P.I.M. with key stakeholders from across the organization, including product management, creative, document control, and product development teams.
Plans, customizes, and executes marketing materials including product guides, brochures, product cut sheets, collateral, web content, call center and video scripts, presentation materials (PowerPoint & Presenter APP) and other support tools in response to Product Management requirements.
Works with Creative Development on development and implementation of campaigns, including promotional campaigns and new product campaigns.
Coordinates literature production and review.
Tracks progress of these projects to ensure pieces are on target with market needs and deadlines are met.
Assists with price change implementation and Price List completion and production.
Works with Marketing Services to provide product information for region specific promotions, presentations, and customer training materials for Category products.
Assists Product Managers with V.O.C. research including creation of the V.O.C. instrument, execution of the survey and compilation of the findings.
Facilitates the creation of product specification details with the Product Management team and an outside consultant.
Distributes up to date details to various outlets within the Green Industry to influence the specification of Hunter products.
Assists with management of industry rebate programs and industry standards lists.
Assists with customer visits and tours.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in marketing.
Golf industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of marketing, forecasting, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
Technical irrigation knowledge as well as experience related to golf course maintenance is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and SharePoint applications.
Knowledge in marketing practices and technologies including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Drop Box, Survey Monkey, Business Objects Explorer, and SugarCRM is preferred.
Knowledge in corporate communications practices and technologies including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, as well as html email and web design using Adobe Dreamweaver is preferred.
Knowledge of data driven product marketing using PIM and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems such as Akeneo and Acquia/Widen DAM is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills: team‐oriented leadership, awareness, and flexibility are required.
Problem solving skills: problem analysis, organizational planning, project management, decisiveness and judgment are required.
